How to choose a downlight

First confirm the cutout size; common sizes are 75mm, 100mm and 125mm, and the fixture must match it.

Power and brightness

Estimate by ceiling height and area; living rooms and offices often use about 3-8W per square meter.

IP rating

Wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens should use downlights with IP44 or higher.

CRI and dimming

Choose CRI 90+ where color matters; select dimmable downlights (Triac or 0-10V) when you need mood control.
