At this April's Hong Kong Spring Lighting Fair, the Zhongshan Commerce Bureau and trade promotion council organised local companies into themed zones, a departure from the usual practice of individual booths.
The three zones showcased LED smart lighting, healthy eye-care lighting, outdoor landscape lighting and smart home lighting systems, presenting the full chain capability from components and R&D through finished manufacturing. According to on-site figures, the fair drew more than 15,000 professional buyers, with strong participation from Indonesia, Korea, Thailand and other markets.
The 'group exhibition' model is worth studying for smaller manufacturers: a single factory's booth budget and product line are limited, but appearing as an industrial cluster clearly raises buyer trust and dwell time. For companies targeting Southeast Asian and Japan/Korea markets, the Hong Kong fair remains one of the lowest-cost channels for contact.
